It started at the spring.
Around Wānaka, we're lucky enough to have access to excellent natural spring water. Plenty of us fill up our drinking water and bring it home.
There was just one problem: what do you put it in?
We wanted something big enough to last the week, made from stainless steel rather than plastic, and with a tap so it could live on the bench and be easy to use.
We couldn't find it.
So we made it.

Why stainless steel?
Less plastic. A simple daily choice.
Microplastics are already present in our air, food and water. We wanted a simple way to use less plastic in our everyday drinking routine.
Glass is another option, but at 30 litres, its weight and risk of breakage make it less practical. Stainless steel offers a durable alternative for larger volumes.
That’s why we chose 304 stainless steel. The steel body won’t shed microplastics, and it’s easy to clean and ready for repeated refills. One jug to fill, enjoy and fill again.
